Hotel Angler Hof

We didn't get to try the restaurant, so that's on the list for our next visit. We will definitely be back. The staff were incredibly friendly, and it had been a long time since I'd met such welcoming people. They also speak fluent English. The hotel has a somewhat modern feel. We called looking for a family room because we were travelling with our two children, and even with just a day's notice, they rearranged things to find us one. I can only recommend this place 👍🏻

The heating didn't work, and the room was really cold that night. There was no room service, and nobody around to tell about the problem. The WiFi dropped every five minutes, and there was no breakfast. Instead, he gave me a piece of paper telling me to go to the bakery across the street in the morning for a coffee and two sandwiches. Ridiculous 🤣🤣 At check-in, there was a small issue and the guy at reception shouted at me as if it were my fault he couldn't find me in the system. The staff were unfriendly. At one point I felt like I wasn't welcome anymore, even though I'd only booked one night. I've never experienced anything like this, and I travel a lot.

The room was large and tidy, with a great bed and a good Sky subscription. We stayed for two nights and had very nice dinner options, plus lovely service. It was a bit pricey, though that's debatable. A really nice experience, and I'd recommend staying here. It's the best option around.

The food was excellent, but carpeted floors are always a bad idea.
