The meals were the real surprise. The portions were huge, the food was exquisite, and even in a small village hotel the menu was that good. Breakfast was buffet style, with a fantastic range of hot and cold options. A 'robot' waiter brought the food, too. The room had a comfortable bed and pillows, a great shower, a sparkling clean ensuite, a desk, and Wi-Fi. It was well equipped, and the vintage, quaint decor had lots of little details to notice, including chilled still and sparkling water on tap. The atmosphere was lovely. The hostess didn't speak English, and I don't speak German, but another very friendly guest helped us communicate and we got on fine. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and suitably attentive. I was flying to Dresden for business in Nuremberg, so this spot about halfway from the autobahn worked well. Absolutely 100/100.

The restaurant stays open late and has a broad, tasty menu centered on local food, including family specials. Breakfast was generous, the staff were very friendly, and the farm-style decor was nice.

We only stayed one night, but my boyfriend and I already know we want to come back for longer. The owners made us feel so welcome, almost like we were part of the family, and that hospitality deserves a special mention. The hotel's charming decor won us over right away. Our room was spacious, spotless, and finished with the same care as the rest of the place. Dinner was a real treat; we haven't eaten that well in ages. Breakfast looked beautiful and had something for every taste. We'll definitely return and would especially recommend it to couples.
