The location is central but quiet, and getting the key from the coded safe was easy. We found the place comfortable, communication was good, and the breakfast was generous. Friendly service, and dogs are welcome.

We hadn't visited Thale before, and we came away happy with the stay. Breakfast was good, though we missed having regional products, especially since we're used to better options in the Harz Mountains. That's only a comparison, not a complaint. The five of us felt very comfortable, thanks in part to the friendly, helpful family and staff. Our rooms weren't all at the same standard; we understand the family took over in 2023 and are renovating gradually, which accounts for the differences. We enjoyed our few days at Hoffmann's Guesthouse and wish the family well for the future.

The owner was very accommodating, and breakfast had plenty of choices for everyone. The place was exceptionally clean.

The garden was such a lovely place to spend time, with several spots to sit, and it makes a great base for activities. I only went hiking. I also loved breakfast in the conservatory, with plenty of coffee, fruit, pickles, sweet and savory spreads, rolls, and bread. I had everything I needed. I stayed two nights after Pentecost in the small double room at the very top, straight ahead. It was cozy, and the bathroom with its bathtub was lovely. The skylight opens with a motorized rotary switch beside the door. I'd happily come back and choose that room again. Best regards!
