There’s lots to see and do nearby, and the apartment was just right for a short stay, with everything we needed. When something went wrong, the host came right over and found a quick solution. Thank you. One thing to know: the apartments are only reached by stairs, so they’re not a good choice if you have mobility issues.

The room was far too cold for this time of year, since the night storage heaters don’t let you set the temperature yourself. The apartment under the roof was also very noisy, and the wind could be heard loudly. The pillows were unusable and the duvet was too thin. There are many steep stairs to climb, which the landlord should make clear, since not everyone can manage them. The TV is tiny, and the living room ceiling light is badly placed. A pillar blocks it from lighting the room properly, leaving a dark corner unless you add a floor lamp. There were also constant reminders on the walls to switch off the lights.

Five of us stayed across three apartments, and we had a fantastic holiday. The place isn’t entirely suitable for people with disabilities, though.

We keep coming back to this apartment whenever we visit Thale. It’s clean, child-friendly, and good value compared with other places. The kitchen has recently been renovated, and the landlords are very nice. Shops are close by, and the cable car to the Hexentanzplatz and the chairlift to the Rosstrappe are around a 20-minute walk away. We’re always happy to return! 😊👍
