Dinner and breakfast were both really tasty, with plenty of choices. We liked the warm family feel too, and nobody minded us playing cards over dinner. The woman who checked us in was lovely and made us feel welcome. It’s a family-run place, and our room was clean and cozy, if a little small. There was parking in the yard.

Andreas even led a few of us on a ride through the nearby mountains in his green Morgan replica, which was a fun extra. We were a group of about 20 motorcyclists visiting Harzen for the 2012 annual Harley-Davidson SuperRally, and Andreas and his wife looked after us very well at Harzer Ferienpension. A really great place, and I’d recommend it to other bikers.

It’s a good base for hiking, and the price was great for what you get. Breakfast was simple but had what we needed, with scrambled eggs available if you asked. Our room had already been modernized and came with a kitchenette. The updates are happening gradually, but even the older rooms were tidy and clean. The landlords were very nice.

Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of coffee too. We had a lovely stay with the Günther family. Check-in was relaxed and super friendly, and they showed us straight to our bright, newly furnished room and explained everything. The little kitchenette had a refrigerator and everything we needed. It was great to make our first coffee there in the morning.

We came with friends on our motorcycles for a long weekend. The hosts were great, and our room was lovely, clean, and bright, with a kitchen. Breakfast was good and plentiful, and there was lots of delicious coffee too. Highly recommended.
