Gästehaus Steiert

This was our second visit to Steiert Guesthouse in Todtnau this year, and Elisabeth and the owners welcomed us just as warmly as before. They’re lovely people and made us feel at home. The rooms are roomy, comfortable, and very well looked after. It’s a great base for exploring the Black Forest. Highly recommended if you’re visiting the area.

The apartment had everything we needed, including a microwave, refrigerator, oven, dishes, and cooking equipment. It was very clean, with one bedroom for us and a separate one for the kids. We also liked the porch, and each apartment has its own parking spot. We were two adults and two 13-year-olds touring the black forest. The location worked well for us, since the attractions we visited were within an hour’s drive, apart from Rheinfall, which took an hour and a half. Elizabeth was an exceptional host. She helped us get tickets we couldn’t purchase ourselves and gave us good directions and advice. We really enjoyed and appreciated the hospitality, and recommend the place.

We stayed here in Aug-15 with our three young kids, aged 4, 8, and 10. The apartment looked a little old, but it was pleasant and very clean. Maria and her husband were really nice, though they didn’t speak any English. The kitchen was small but well equipped and worked fine for us. It’s a very good spot for visiting the black forest, and we enjoyed our stay a lot. For the affordable price, I’d gladly recommend it.

The apartments were lovely, and we thought the price was good for what you get. We were here with kids, so the included schwarzwald discount card was a real plus and we used it a lot. Great location, too.
