There was plenty to do nearby, with shopping, attractions, and a beautiful town about a 10-minute drive away. We also had a lovely barbecue evening on the roof terrace, enjoying the view of the starry sky. Hiking trails start right outside, and the quiet, beautiful surroundings were just what we'd hoped for. The vacation apartment was spacious, very nice, and clean. The owners were friendly and always up for questions and pleasant conversations. We'd love to return! The Tabbert family

I visited two weeks ago and found the place quite remote, a long way from the village and in a dead-end area. There were several vehicles and an old caravan parked around, but I didn't see anyone there. The buildings are ancient and would surely be difficult to renovate, and the heating bills must be enormous. It seems you have to make an appointment to get in touch with anyone. More show than substance?

The kitchen setup wasn't enough for five people: cutlery and properly sized pots and pans were missing. The roof terrace has apparently been unusable for quite some time, which was a real shame because our son, who uses a wheelchair, had been looking forward to barbecues up there. Cleanliness clearly wasn't a priority. The shower curtain was moldy, the sheets had suspicious stains, the oven was extremely dirty and encrusted, and the range hood seemed more useful as a fly trap. There were rusty bathroom shelves, clogged sink drains, and a dirty grill covered only with aluminum foil, rusted and unusable. The list goes on, and I can document it with photos and witnesses, Ms. Divossen!! Outrageous behavior seemed normal here. We ended our much-needed vacation early because, for that much money, we expected at least a clean place and a pleasant atmosphere. What a shame. Caution, disgusting! Sarcastic thanks for that!!

The apartment is large and has good equipment, and Traben-Trarbach is a beautiful town. The area is very quiet and a bit isolated, though, so you're stuck without a car. The nearest grocery store is about a 20-minute drive away, so stock up the fridge.

A peaceful spot surrounded by nature, with hiking trails right there and a thermal bath within walking distance. It's ideal if you're looking for quiet and want to be away from the busy Moselle riverbank, which you can reach in a few minutes by car, bike, or bus.
