A lovely small apartment for two. One sleeping area is up a flight of stairs, so it may not suit older guests.

We spent two weeks in the small Reh apartment and were very happy with it. The lovely garden was great for our dog to run around in, and people could snack on the grapes. Breakfast on the big balcony was especially nice: the sun stayed behind the house in the morning, so it didn’t get too hot. The cul-de-sac kept traffic low, and the apartment was quiet despite the main road nearby. A bakery and butcher, both with a good selection of excellent products, were about a 15-minute walk away. In the evening we could watch the sunset over the mountain opposite and look forward to the next day. We highly recommend the apartment. The Schenk family were much appreciated. A few small things we missed: larger water glasses, since the small ones were empty in one gulp in the heat; a skylight on the gallery to let evening heat out; more than one egg spoon, as the espresso spoons were a bit too small; and a blackout curtain or roller blind in the bedroom.

The house has two apartments and sits in a residential area on the edge of Enkirch. We stayed in Hirsch, which was clean, thoughtfully decorated to fit its theme, and well stocked with dishes. The mezzanine sleeping area makes it distinctive, and the extra separate toilet is handy. With the B53 and an on-ramp nearby, it was easy to drive to local sights. There’s no direct access to or view of the Moselle from the house, partly because of the trees; the river is about 900 meters farther into town. We saw a lot and can highly recommend the apartment.

We really recommend this place for up to 3 people. It’s 6 km from Traben-Trarbach, very clean, and well located. The house stays cool even in the hottest weather thanks to its good insulation. The garden-facing bedroom was quiet, and the mattresses were great.
