The salad was fresh and colorful, though there was a bit too much dressing. Our meal was filling and well prepared, with crusty bread on the side. The creamy sahne pasta with mushrooms and broccoli was rich and flavorful, balanced by fresh herbs, and the Mais insalata was satisfying too. A good mix of comfort and freshness.

My wife had the salad with grilled salmon, my daughter got a pizza margherita, and I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel. Everything was delicious and well made at Restaurant La Mula. We hadn’t booked during the busy summer travel season, and there were no tables when we arrived. The hostess kindly asked us to wait a few minutes, then found us a table inside. The service was great, and I appreciated how well she looked after us.

The restaurant was busy, but the servers were still friendly and accommodating. We were passing through and arrived 30 minutes before closing, yet we got a table and some nice pizzas. Glad we stopped for dinner.

We tried again today, arriving before 6pm. More than half the chairs were empty, and the staff seemed to be standing around without much to do. I asked whether there was a free table for two, but the waitress turned us away without really looking at the reservation list. That seemed strange to us. We often eat at good restaurants and this has never happened before. The day before, after a long day of travelling, we’d asked for food just before the kitchen was due to close and were told it had already closed.

The pizza was tasteless, and my companion’s pasta had no flavor either. The place was covered in flies, and the staff didn’t seem to care, blaming the flies on what I’d ordered. My companion ordered a drink that never arrived. Worst Italian restaurant ever. AVOID.
