The room and breakfast were okay, and the location worked well. The landlady was kind enough to get extra rolls from the bakery when they ran out, even though it was already past 10, when breakfast normally ends. But the hallway bathroom was a problem with a baby along: the light switched off so fast we could barely get there from our room. The towels smelled musty, the decor felt uncomfortable, and people were allowed to smoke indoors. The buffet was also served without gloves despite the COVID-19 restrictions. We canceled that evening on the spur of the moment. The landlady was rude to us several times that weekend, including in front of other guests. That’s no way to treat guests.

The room was far too hot for us, at 35 degrees Celsius, so we left. When we asked for a fan, the landlady refused, and the landlord told us to go. A respirator mask from the previous guest was still lying on the radiator. To her credit, when I asked what we owed for the room, the landlady said we didn’t have to pay. The hotel is very outdated, too. The landlady was very unfriendly when we arrived. In my opinion, the overly positive reviews of the hotel’s features aren’t entirely honest. I don’t feel like going into any more details.

Fresh rolls from the bakery are served at breakfast. The restaurant allows smoking, though, and the owner is very unfriendly, berating guests in front of others. The toilet in the room also has a strong smell because the bathroom has no window or ventilation.

The room was spacious, but old-fashioned, and the breakfast was simple but good. Rooms facing the road are noisy.

The food was great, and the staff were really nice. It’s a superb restaurant for homemade German-style cooking.
