Gasthaus Lowen

You can tell they care about what they serve. Some dishes are made from scratch, and the food and service were both great. It’s a warm, welcoming family kitchen, with friendly staff. Nice work.

We only spent one night here on a business trip, but the guesthouse left a good impression. The rooms were clean and the bathroom had plenty of supplies. Parking behind the building was a relief, since there’s no street parking. Breakfast was a little disappointing, especially before a long drive. We ate at the restaurant the night before, where the food was fresh, the service friendly, and the prices very reasonable. The staff also made a real effort with the corona guidelines. I’d recommend it.

The staff were very nice and spoke English, but I’m sorry to say I wouldn’t choose this hotel again. The rooms were okay, though they weren’t cleaned every day, and sometimes there was no toilet paper. The Wi-Fi didn’t work properly. Breakfast was fine on the first day, but it was the same every day after that, with only coffee and tea as hot options.

The natural setting and location were lovely, and the service was impeccable. It’s a beautiful heritage hotel with amazing food. I’ll certainly visit again.
