After driving all day, I arrived at 10pm with my partner and two children. I’d booked through Booking.com, where it said the children stayed free, and I’d already paid in full. The owners still demanded €50 in cash for the children and refused to hand over the keys until I paid. They spoke to us extremely rudely, and I felt I had no choice but to hand over the money. The owners, particularly the woman, were very rude. The rooms were old and smelly. I wouldn’t recommend this place, and I hope the business suffers as much as they made us suffer.

Good service, a nice selection of food and drinks, and a lovely Italian feel make this a restaurant I’d recommend. I especially liked the wine and Sicilian style liqueurs. They also serve local beer from the Hirsch brewery in Wurmlingen, “The Gold of Our Homeland.” I can’t speak from experience about the rooms, but I’ve heard they’re well furnished for a rural setting. They also take phone orders for takeaway. Drop in and enjoy yourself, it’s a nice place to visit.
