Seehalde

We spent a whole weekend at Hotel Seehalde with 14 people to celebrate a milestone birthday. It was a real gift to everyone. The rooms were beautifully renovated, with lake views and the sound of the water. The food was fantastic, and there was a good selection of wine. From the owners to every staff member, the whole team was warm and friendly. The place felt cozy and joyful. Thank you, Seehalde team, for an unforgettable weekend!

The only snag was that they don’t take Visa, though luckily we had cash. The restrooms were very clean, and the servers were perfect. The food was refined and beautifully presented, and this was a real introduction to German cuisine for us. We learned that French food isn’t the only cuisine that can be excellent. It’s a truly excellent restaurant, well worth visiting, and we highly recommend eating here.

The hotel manager and service staff were helpful, friendly, and very attentive. The menu is small but good, with Lake Constance fish, Salem country chicken, and roast beef with onions. They also serve regional wines, and it’s a good idea to reserve ahead. Breakfast is chosen the day before, with options like sausages, cheese, and eggs, then served fresh to the table in the amount you asked for. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very clean. There’s a large garden and a lovely terrace overlooking Lake Constance, plus a small private beach and indoor pool. The hotel is in a prime spot, with nearby places to explore on foot or by bike, and free parking in front.

The food is excellent, and the service is friendly, though a bit hectic. There’s a beautiful terrace and garden with plenty of room between the tables. One small suggestion: the owner would look more professional in black trousers and shoes. His shirt already makes him stand out from the staff. Highly recommend it for a special evening, but book well ahead!
