Haus Maria Lindenberg

The dinner buffet was simple and cost €13. It began at 6pm, and they cleared everything away after about an hour. Drinks cost extra, but the prices were very reasonable. It was a quiet spot with lovely scenery and a very clean facility. Most people were kind and welcoming, though the nun at reception during dinner wasn't. 🤷‍♀️ Thanks again for the warm hospitality. I hope I can return someday.

The landscapes around the place are lovely, and breakfast comes with an amazing view. You can't see much of them from most rooms, though. The staff were attentive and kind. It's part of a religious sanctuary, so religious symbols are everywhere. That didn't bother us, but some people may want to know.

The food was just okay, nothing fancy, with a basic German breakfast. The restaurant does have stunning views. Around the hotel there are gardens and several places to take in the scenery, including a covered spot where you can sit outside when it's raining. It's high on a mountain beside the church, and the atmosphere was ideal for relaxing and enjoying the fascinating views. The room had a private bathroom, hairdryer, towels, and shampoo. There was no kettle, tea, minibar, or air conditioning in the room. A shared bar has refrigerators with drinks that you can take and pay for later. The reception staff were really nice and friendly. They helped us add a crib at no extra cost. Call before booking, since only one room can fit a crib.

A lovely, quiet place to get away from the city bustle, with awesome scenery and helpful, friendly staff. 🥰
