The hotel may be a bit dated, but I absolutely loved our stay. It was quiet, the price was very good, and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed the sauna and the great breakfast. The dinner buffet had very limited choice and might have been overpriced, though the waiters were very friendly and the experience was great. I’d definitely go back.

The buffet was a plus, and the food was really good. The sauna was good too, until two German couples came in naked, which felt awkward and made us really uncomfortable. Also, the pillows are horrible. If you’ve seen this hotel, bring your own. Your neck will thank you, mine hurt.

We chose this place for an eight-day stay because it was fairly close to the relatives we were visiting. Our suite had a balcony, the room was an adequate size, and the view was amazing. But there were no drawers for clothes, just 10 hangers on hooks. There was plenty of empty space where drawers and somewhere for luggage would have fit. The breakfast was pitiful, either food had run out or it was cold. One evening, we went out and realized we’d forgotten something, so we came back to find that neither key worked. Nobody was at the front desk. I even went behind the desk and knocked on the door, but no one came. We found someone at the bar eventually, and he said the front desk was staffed 24 hours a day. I disagree. The woman finally came out and said she had to go to her house. There was no apology. She reactivated both keys, but neither worked when we returned. We had to come down from the 12th floor again, and finally they worked. They don’t seem focused on guests or to care about them. We’ll never stay there again. We should have known, you get what you pay for. The lobby is nice and air conditioned, which gives you the impression the rooms will be nice too. They are NOT, and there’s no AC in the rooms. The hallway carpet is very old and badly buckled, definitely a tripping hazard.

Our group of 60 adults and children from the U.S. stayed for two nights during a record-breaking heatwave. With no air conditioning, the rooms were stifling, easily over 80°F even at night with the windows open. There were some fans at reception, but not enough for most guests. Some people in our group also reported showers that didn’t work, electrical problems, and other maintenance issues. We were told the bar was closed for renovation and would reopen the next day. When we came back, we were abruptly told it was closed, without explanation or courtesy. Staff often seemed irritated by basic questions, and requests appeared to bother them. I understand there may be a language barrier and German communication can be more direct, but tone and body language made the hostility clear without needing translation. We were ignored by waitstaff when trying to order drinks, even though we’d been told to order from them because the bar was closed. Other guests were served ahead of us. At dinner, we were told to use only tables assigned to our group, yet a solo traveler outside our group was seated at one, displacing four of our members. A service manager rudely told a 16-year-old from our group to move from a nearby table while he was eating, without saying where he should go. Others were made to move too. Nobody else was waiting for tables, and only our group was treated this way. The packed breakfasts for our early departure weren’t ready on time. When they were hastily put together, each box had only a juice box and a sad, dry piece of bread with one slice of cheese. There was a clear difference in how independent guests and our tour group were treated. I’ve stayed everywhere from luxury hotels to budget lodgings, and this was without a doubt one of my worst hospitality experiences. I don’t usually write negative reviews, but we weren’t simply inconvenienced, we were mistreated. Wyndham, I strongly urge you to reevaluate the staff and management practices at this property. Guests deserve basic respect and professionalism.

I stayed here years ago and had a pretty bad experience, so this visit was a complete turnaround. The room felt fresh, modern, and well maintained, and reception staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Breakfast was decent, nothing special, but good enough to start the day. The main letdown was the breakfast staff, who were neither friendly nor attentive, almost as if they weren’t there. Even so, the overall stay was a huge improvement.
