The only drawback was dinner. There's no restaurant, and food delivery choices are limited in a small town like Visbek, though there's a supermarket very close by. The rooms were big, new, nicely decorated, and squeaky clean, and check-in was easy. Parking is free and available. Breakfast is a small buffet, but the quality was great and the bread was delicious.

We arrived late and got our key and paid at the machine by the entrance. The town was quiet enough that we could leave the windows open all night, though the church bells rang for a long time on Sunday. There are solar panels for charging cars, too. The room was large, with a big bathroom, a comfortable bed, and everything was very clean. I liked that only one set of towels and sheets was laid out, with extras in a cupboard for the second person. That saves laundry and helps the environment if you're alone. The decor was nice, and breakfast had homemade marmalades and plenty of different foods. There was no written allergen information, but the very friendly staff were happy to help. Having the information in writing would have been an extra plus.

The hotel and its spacious rooms were very clean and nice. What brought it down to three stars for me was having no staff at all, since everything is automatic. Even in digital times, it's nice to be welcomed in person and have someone local show you around the neighbourhood.

After a full day of driving on a long road trip, we needed somewhere to stay. We picked this place and weren't disappointed. It was the best place we stayed on the trip.

Really nice design and a great location. The place seems newly built or renovated, and breakfast was very good.
