Hotel Adler

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had a very nice selection. There isn't a restaurant in the hotel, but there’s a public paid parking garage close by. The room was clean, quiet and pleasantly updated, and the location in the old town is convenient.

Breakfast was a highlight, with a fresh, varied selection that was presented well and topped up often. Prices also felt like good value for the area. Staff were attentive, and the front desk was friendly, efficient and helpful. The hotel is older, but it's clean, tidy and generally well appointed. Some room maintenance details could use closer attention. Accessibility for wheelchair users is limited, so it's best to discuss the specifics with management when booking and before you arrive. Parking in the old city is difficult at any time of day or night. It's centrally located in the quaint historic part of Waiblingen, with nice views over a neighboring park and the river. The town is well worth a visit.

Some drunk guests outside the hotel managed to lock the door from the outside, trapping a whole group of people inside, along with anyone else they apparently didn't like. How can one person do that and hold everyone in the hotel hostage?

We couldn't get out because we were locked inside. It was an emergency exit, so it should open from the inside. The man who locked it seemed to be a guest. How is a guest able to lock an emergency door completely shut?
