The schnitzel was simply amazing, and I’m looking forward to another chance to eat here on my next trip through Germany. The menu is concise, with daily specials, and the traditional German food was cooked just right. It’s a little hidden gem of a restaurant, and from what I could see, a hotel too. The place sits in the rolling countryside near K-town and the other installations, with an outdoor bar area in the courtyard.

We enjoyed the great service and the nice location at this family-owned hotel and restaurant. They take a lot of pride in the food and service. On days we didn’t need cleaning, the housekeepers left us little chocolate and candy surprises, which was a nice touch. I’d definitely stay here again. Merry Christmas 🎅

We stayed here in May/June 2023, in my ancestral hometown near my German relatives. The owner kindly let us move to a ground-floor room after seeing all our luggage, and she also graciously let us do laundry, which helped us immensely. The gentleman running the bar was very kind and polite, and speaks English very well. We enjoyed the excellent restaurant and service, the nice rooms, and the range of good food at the breakfast buffet.

The food was incredibly bad. I ordered Spätzle and got something that seemed to have been reheated and deep-fried. Even the salad dressing wasn’t homemade. I could get the same thing at a supermarket for 1,50€. This has nothing to do with a restaurant, the food would be fit for a gas station at best.

The food was good, and the steak was properly well done without being dry. The location worked well for our office holiday luncheon.
