Müritzpalais

The location is lovely, and the room was clean and large, though I had to walk sideways around the bed. Our apartment also had a tiny, empty room with just extra blankets in it. It would make more sense to have benches there so people can open their luggage, especially for a night or two when they may not unpack. The pool looks lovely in the photos, but you can't even see it without paying extra. The restaurant only served breakfast and wasn't open for dinner, so we had to walk into town. It's separate from the apartments, and getting there means going outside in whatever weather there is.

The buffet breakfast was delicious, and there was plenty of choice. The spa was spotless, welcoming, and a real treat. It's right on the water, with a calm feel, and about a 10-minute walk from downtown. Five stars for cleanliness and breakfast variety. Worth every euro.

The apartments have everything you need, including a well-equipped kitchen. The setting has a special view, and the walk to the very close city center goes through a park along the lake. The place sits a little outside the city, which gives it a private atmosphere. We came in November, with one sunny day and another completely cloudy, and both suited the mood. The spa is good, though it can get busy on weekends. The sauna opens after 16:00 and costs extra, 8 euro for 3 hours, or 10 euro for pool and spa for a day. That extra hassle would be better included in the room price. The town and hiking trails are very close. I'd recommend visiting the info center to find out where to go. Breakfast is served at the hotel, though I found it a bit overpriced; you can also go into the nearby city center for breakfast.

Our ground-floor apartment was a lovely break from city life, with beautiful lake views, a cozy bedroom, a living room with an open kitchen, and a full bathroom. It was spotless, the furnishings were well kept, and the amenities were good quality. We'd happily stay again. A few little things meant trips to the supermarket that could have been avoided with advance notice. The bathroom only had a small bar of hand soap, without the other toiletries you'd usually expect. The kitchen had utensils but no basics like oil, salt, or pepper, and there were no filters for the coffee machine. These were minor inconveniences and didn't take away from an enjoyable stay.
