We had a family room with a kitchen, fridge, stove, microwave, and enough room for all five of us. The kids loved having the space. I believe the owners don’t live on site, and the owner had left us a few bottles of water, which was a nice touch. The property felt safe, with other guests around and some houses nearby, so we didn’t feel isolated. It’s a large hotel, and the price was so low that we expected the worst, but we were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed our stay. The main letdown was the toilet. The shower curtains had stains, as shown in the pictures, and that area needed more attention. The rest of the property was quite clean. There aren’t many shops nearby either, so if you like wandering around the hotel area to find takeaway, you may be disappointed.

They sent us helpful information about the guesthouse and the area before we arrived, and the breakfast was very nice and fairly priced. We also appreciated that they provided a kettle so we could prepare formula for our little one without any hassle. It’s a lovely family-run pension in a beautiful area, and the cost was great for what we got.

Hiking trails start right by the hotel, and I felt free to enjoy the nature while still staying in touch with work through the Wi-Fi. I spent the weekend here with my family and can definitely recommend it. The price was excellent too.

We come every year for the Bayreuth Festival, and this is a great place to stay for it. It’s simple, comfortable, and very affordable. The setting is lovely, with lots of great walks through the forest and small mountains nearby.
