Altstadt Palais Weimar

The apartment was beautiful and roomy, and the two of us felt right at home. We only stayed one night while passing through, so we’ll definitely come back for longer. The man at reception deserves to be named an honorary ambassador for Weimar. He greeted us with such warmth and charm that we felt at home right away.

The apartments were spotless, nicely equipped and charming, and the beds were very comfortable. Some antique cupboards are missing shelves. A few apartments also have two rooms you have to pass through to get to the next room. Even so, I’d happily recommend the place, especially for its fantastic central location and very friendly service.

We had a maisonette with a striking spiral staircase and a play area for the children upstairs. The building is decorated with great taste and fits Weimar’s style beautifully. Our stay was short, but it felt like a perfect holiday. A lovely place to relax and unwind, right in the old town for easy walks.

The Old Town Palais apartment was beautiful and spacious, with two bedrooms furnished in antiques. Its old-town location puts cafés, bakeries and restaurants within easy walking distance. The small kitchen has only two hotplates, so it isn’t suitable for cooking larger meals. The bathroom was cramped and very small, with mold on some of the tile grout. It badly needed cleaning. We weren’t offered a parking space when booking, and there’s no street parking.
