Amalienhof Serviced Apartments

The location was excellent, peaceful, and close to both great restaurants and a wonderful bakery. We felt very comfortable overall. The flat itself had a balcony with two rattan armchairs and a low table, though it wasn’t really suited for breakfast. There was a free, secure courtyard parking space, a hallway, a tiny shower room, a kitchen without a dishwasher, a dining table with two chairs, and a living room and bedroom with a TV and small sofa. Apartment 1.4. A few things could be improved. The bathroom is very small and has nowhere to put things, and the toilet roll holder was broken. The kitchen was sparsely stocked: three little spoons, two small coffee cups, and one huge pot, with no spices, for example. There was a dog in the house. Adding more dishes, cutlery, and ordinary kitchen basics would make the place feel more welcoming. This has apparently come up repeatedly on Booking.com but still hasn’t been dealt with. Some areas weren’t properly clean. There were a few hairs, not mine, caught in the large shaggy living room rug, and two broken hangers on the wardrobe’s top shelf, which made me think it hadn’t been cleaned. To be fair, someone of average height can’t reach those upper shelves. The dishes should also be checked instead of assuming the previous guest cleaned them well. Little touches like a balcony candle, ashtray, or coaster would be nice too. I’ve found those in other holiday rentals, and we ended up buying them ourselves.

The staff were friendly, and the furnishings were really nice.
