Danilos Boardinghouse

We’ve got two weeks left of our month-long stay, and so far there hasn’t really been a single problem. My husband and I came after our big move from the US, while waiting for our apartment to be ready, and this has been a comfortable place to land. The space is much bigger than we expected, and they were happy to accommodate our two medium sized dogs. I’m looking forward to settling into our new home, but I’ll miss the view of the castle on the hillside right outside the door. There’s plenty of room nearby to walk the dogs and explore, including a paved path with a dog waste station. It’s fairly quiet here, especially compared with the large city I’m used to. The housekeeper has been friendly and helpful from the start, and especially kind when the dogs make a bit of a racket as she arrives. She introduced herself right away and offered help when I first got here. The kitchen works well for a hotel setup. There’s no oven, but the stovetop is excellent, and there’s a microwave, small fridge, coffee maker, plenty of dishes, and some cooking basics. I’ve managed to make full meals from scratch. The beds are cozy, and having laundry on site is great. Danilo’s restaurant is across the street. We got pizza from there on our first night, and it was delicious. Lidl is a short walk away, with a huge Rewe Center basically across from it if you need something more particular. There’s an even closer bakery, and the streetcar stop is about a 15-20 minute walk. Thanks so much for accommodating us. We’ll definitely come back to the restaurant once we’ve moved to our permanent place.
