The view from our en suite bathroom window was something else. We came from New Zealand and have travelled a lot, staying in many hotels; my mother worked here in the late 1950s, so this place already meant something to us. It has real charm and character, with a boutique feel and a quality that makes it stand out. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and the bed may have been the best I've ever slept in. The staff were lovely and helpful, and Wolfgang and the team did an awesome job. We also held a Family Reunion here, and it was a brilliant venue, with excellent service and follow-up during the party. A wonderful stay and a real treat.

The garden is beautiful, and the staff did try to accommodate us. Still, the hotel isn't centrally located, the restaurant has limited variety, and the rooms feel dated. I would have preferred a more modern look, though I forgot to take room photos. The Wi-Fi wasn't working too well for me. There is a pretty nice sauna, but no fitness center. When we were leaving, they were preparing for a wedding event, so the staff were preoccupied.

Our guests who stayed at Fuchs´sche Mühle for our wedding were absolutely thrilled with their stay. We were very pleased with the hotel's comfort and great service, and the breakfast was plentiful and varied. Our bed was very comfortable, and the room was bigger than we'd expected, with all the amenities we needed and a nice forest view. The staff were friendly, and we were pleasantly surprised that the owner himself came to help on the evening of the celebration. Before the wedding, communication was informative and precise, both about room logistics and preparing the venue. A great impression and overnight stay.

The basement spa is an amazing experience on its own, and this is my pick among the local hotels. It's an unusual, old traditional place with incredible food and excellent hospitality. The decor is a little out of date, but the food keeps getting better. The steak and octopus were incredible. Update:
