A nice choice for a conference or retreat, especially in summer, with a nearby hiking trail that makes it easy to enjoy the nature around you. The access road is narrow, so buses and other heavy vehicles can’t get through. From the main roads, it’s about a 1 km walk.

The surroundings are beautiful, but the rooms are very small and old fashioned, and despite the claim of free WiFi, there was none in the room. The buffet was by far the worst and most overpriced I’ve ever seen. Just 30 minutes after it started, there were no starters left. The food was really bad and there was no variety. Dessert was only children’s puddings, with no bowls to serve them in, so we had to eat them off plates. All that cost 22€ per person, drinks extra. When we complained, the staff tried to help, but management chose not to act. I’d advise everyone to go somewhere else. This was the worst and most overpriced place I’ve ever been.

The rooms and service were great, but servers who spoke English were hard to come by. The location is very isolated, and both cell service and WiFi were almost unusable. The front desk also didn’t have razor blades for shaving.

I stayed here for a two-day training and shared a double room on the top floor with my wife. The setting is really idyllic. You drive along a narrow forest road, then suddenly this huge, castle-like building appears.
