There's a lot of space in this cottage, with three bedrooms and comfortable beds. The rooms have plenty of hanging space, and the house has a large dining table, comfy sofa and chairs, wall-mounted TV and WiFi. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, hob and dishwasher. There are two bathrooms, one small one with a shower cubicle and a family bathroom with a large bath and shower over it. Some rooms have underfloor heating, while others have individually controlled radiators. It's beautifully old-fashioned, with beams, and feels comfortable and well equipped. The main downside is the steep staircase, though there's some carpet to help with grip. Both bathrooms are downstairs, so there's no toilet upstairs. It's only a five-minute walk to the main shopping center, with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. The courtyard would be lovely to sit in during summer. Secure private parking is a real bonus and hard to find in Wernigerode. Highly recommended.

The house was comfortable, with enough room for our group of five, and the bedrooms were large enough. One room is separate, while the other two are behind a solid wooden door. To reach the second of those rooms, you have to walk through the first. The main difficulty for my husband and me, the two older guests, was that all the bedrooms are up a steep staircase and both toilets are downstairs.

The courtyard meant we could keep our motorcycles safely tucked away, and there are restaurants, a bakery and a supermarket nearby. This is a great place in Wernigerode's city center, beautifully furnished, very clean, and supplied with everything you need. We had pleasant contact with the owners and their representative, and would be glad to come back.

The landlords are nice, and the big courtyard gives the kids space to play. The center and shops are just a five-minute walk away. It's a great house in the middle of Wernigerode, in top condition, with a modern kitchen, bathrooms and living room, plus rustic bedrooms.

The kitchen has everything you need, and there are two toilets, each with a shower or bathtub. When it's cold, the fireplace makes staying in appealing; in good weather, you can use the outdoor grill. One downside for arriving bikers: you're not allowed to park your motorcycles under the barn roof, even though there aren't any animals there anymore.
