I was travelling on my own and felt right at home. The people were very nice, the food was great, and the room was comfortable. Free WiFi too. I really liked it here!

We spent Christmas here as a family and had a lovely stay. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and were happy to accommodate lots of requests. It was easy to come and go, with bus and train stops within walking distance for trips into town or up to Brocken. The rooms are basic but have what you need, and the small bathroom is perfectly functional. Thanks so much, and keep up the good work!

The portions were huge, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We ate here as a group of five on December 28th, 2025, and found the prices very reasonable. It's a charming, traditional restaurant, the sort of place that's hard to find back home in Schleswig-Holstein these days. The owner was relaxed, attentive, and very friendly.

The breakfast staff were friendly, but we wouldn't stay here again. The hotel and our room smelled strongly of food and cigarettes, and the online photos didn't reflect what we found. There wasn't much choice in the food, and the hotel was unclean. At checkout, we were charged for breakfast twice and the room price had suddenly gone up.
