Kastenholz

The best parts of my stay were the helpful service and swimming pool area. Thanks to Ms.Metzen, Ms.Popow, Ms.Nicola and everyone who made our five-day business event at Kastenholz memorable. We booked two meeting rooms and 14 rooms. My room had an amazing view and a very comfortable bed, though one light didn't work and the internet didn't reach my room. The showers also took a while to warm up, sometimes about 10 minutes, which didn't seem very sustainable. Breakfast had lots of fresh, tasty choices. I liked the barbecue and the three-course meals at lunch, but the buffet felt a bit limited: for two days we had noodles, potatoes and different sauces. I would have liked a meat option. Coffee breaks with cake or pastries were nice; we only had to wait a little for coffee twice, and our schedule was flexible. The meeting rooms had good space and a small terrace, but the internet was very slow at times and made it hard for participants to work. The Kegel area was small but cozy, and all 14 of us fit. I really enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend it.

The rooms are a little dated, but comfortable and clean. The big, picturesque hotel has a friendly feel, and there's plenty of hiking nearby, with maps available from the staff. The restaurant serves hearty food. Make time for the sauna and wellness area, open to guests in the afternoon and evening. There's lovely tea to help yourself to, along with well-being tips, in the large living room. All in all, a great place with a relaxed, casual atmosphere.

The service here was incredible. I stayed for three days, after my sister-in-law booked the room because my German isn't good. She told me the receptionist had been extremely polite and friendly. I think her name was Sonja, the woman with glasses and short brown hair, and she was really kind. On my first night, a friendly man at the restaurant, maybe the manager or head waiter, greeted me with a smile. My servers were a lovely short-haired blonde waitress and, I think, a Filipina waitress. I've worked in gastronomy for a long time, including on a cruise ship around the world, and I've never seen staff this professional and friendly. When I ordered food to my room, the manager even offered to bring it himself. The blonde waitress was finishing a long shift but still happily made me one last drink when I came in near closing time. On my final night I overslept and arrived late for dinner, but they still served me a full meal. What a hotel and what service. I'll certainly come back. I'd give it 50 stars rather than five. The wellness activities you can sign up for make this a nice place to spend less than a week detoxing your body and mind. The natural surroundings feel peaceful and positive, and I think you could leave feeling inspired. It also seems like a good spot for team building or a gathering with friends and family. Everyone on staff was really friendly. The food was delicious. I'm not usually a fish lover, but I finished the whole plate of Zanderfilet, which was fresh and tasted great. The risotto was good too. Breakfast has a fresh juice bar where you can make your own fruit and vegetable juice, plus lots of options for special diets, including kento bread and natural foods. I also liked the freshly made natuella. And don't miss the crystal water in the lobby. I liked the pink crystal water, which is good for the skin!
