FeWo Königstein 2

A lovely holiday apartment, and they’re happy to welcome dogs, even a Great Dane. The landlord’s mother greeted us, showed us around, and was so nice. Thank you!

We spent our evenings in Quedlinburg and loved wandering among the pretty half-timbered houses. Königstein is close by too, and I found the information about its history really interesting. Nearby, there’s a farm shop with tasty meat, eggs, fruit, and vegetables, plus a bakery, NP supermarket, and petrol station. The idea of a labyrinth in the sunflower field next door appealed to me as well. It was so hot that we went swimming at Osterteich pond in Gernrode; apparently there’s a small outdoor pool there too. The apartment was practical for a family with two small children. The bunk bed is separated from the double bed by a big wardrobe. Everything was very clean and looked after, with a nice living room and dining area, and a small bathroom that had everything we needed. The old half-timbered building stayed pleasantly cool in the heat. I also liked looking out over the gardens and horse. There’s a cool parking spot in the little courtyard, or, if you leave the car elsewhere, a lovely shady place to sit outside. One thing city people may find unusual: there was a very strong country smell, though it was free of charge! Many thanks to the friendly host family.

Having a parking spot right on the property was handy. The owner was friendly and gave us great tips for different outings. We had a very good holiday in this beautiful, cozy apartment.

We found plenty of hikes and other things to do from this well-located holiday apartment. Parking was sheltered and very good, and inside it was comfortable, nicely furnished, and not cluttered. The amenities were good too.
