There are lovely views and good hiking opportunities in the historic part of Alt Wetter.

Even though photographers and people who know the spot well have seen this motif plenty of times, it still has its charm in changing light and weather. Look around and you’ll keep finding new angles and subjects. One detail in the picture: if you look closely, it has seven gables.

This little village feels really cool and typically German. The houses are part of its heritage, and there’s a viewpoint over the lake. It’s worth visiting in the daytime, since it’s not very impressive at night. From the subway station, it’s about a 15-minute walk.

The host was very friendly and accommodating, and the apartment felt like a place to make yourself at home. It’s beautifully and stylishly furnished inside a lovely old half-timbered house. We’d love to return.

We felt comfortable and relaxed here. The atmosphere was especially friendly and tasteful, and the hosts were very nice. There’s a delicious pizzeria nearby, along with a bike path, a lake, and a climbing park.
