We spent four nights here in a great triple room with a terrace, and could use the shared spaces, including a fridge and kettle. The homemade breakfasts were plentiful and tasty. Stephanie deserves a special mention. She was always ready to help, with kindness and thoughtful advice. A great base for discovering South Schwatzwald.

We've stayed at this wonderful Gastehaus several times, and it feels like coming home every time. Wieden is a small village tucked into a valley in the High Black Forest, and it's absolutely picture-book beautiful. Our room was big, modern, and clean, with a breathtaking view from the balcony. Frau Klingele is a lovely host, and she speaks English too. Such a wonderful place to stay!

The host made us feel welcome and had great ideas for things to do and restaurants. The place was clean and inviting, with that home-from-home feel. It's tucked into a beautiful mountain valley in the black forest.

We had a lovely ten days at Sonnhalde in Wieden, a beautiful, well-kept guesthouse where we felt completely at ease. Everything was spotless, and the hosts were warm, accommodating, and happy to answer our questions. Breakfast was superb each morning, with lots of homemade treats and everything we wanted. Our room, bathroom, and balcony were all very spacious. We had a south-facing balcony, with a fantastic view over the whole village center. The north-facing rooms look onto a cow pasture, so you have to accept some compromises with that outlook. The price felt entirely fair for what we got, and we'd gladly return.

We felt so warmly welcomed by Mrs. Klingele, who's incredibly kind, helpful with excursion ideas, and always keen to make guests happy. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade rolls and bread, jam, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, and more. The rooms are very clean and spacious, each with a balcony, and the view is superb. Highly recommended.
