Breakfast helped make up for the stay, though one night was enough for us. The house is right in the old town near the market square, and despite the noisy old stairs, our room was decent. The bathroom was a comfortable size, but in the extreme heat our room facing the parking lot became unbearable, and the space heater was practically useless. We couldn't sleep with the window open either, since local youths gathered in the parking lot until early morning. The bed was just 200/140 cm, which was fine for one night, but the mattress was terribly soft and the pillows were poor quality.

Great value for money, and the breakfast was really good. The place is central, though a bit dated.

The towels smelled so awful, musty and almost toxic, that the odor got onto our skin. It didn't seem like a one-off: we spoke with four other guests and also exchanged the towels. The building is an interesting old place in the middle of the old town, and parking is available, but getting there by car is confusing. The GPS address from the website keeps sending you the wrong way down a one-way street, and a warning on the site would help. Our room was small but adequate, with very old and worn furnishings, which may be a matter of taste. Other problems weren't: the shower rod was nearly falling out, the bathroom doors didn't shut properly, and the bathroom door squeaked badly. I could hear breakfast preparations from 6:30 a.m. The whole building is extremely noisy, so earplugs are a good idea. There's no elevator, which could be difficult with heavy bags or mobility problems. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. The staff member at breakfast, possibly the owner, didn't seem friendly, and we didn't dare bring up the towels. I wouldn't stay again.

Breakfast was plentiful, good, and laid out with care. I was very satisfied with the stay and would definitely book here again. It's a small hotel in a building that's centuries old. The creaky staircase was the only downside I noticed, and that's hardly surprising in a place this old.
