Schöne Aussicht

At 5:50 AM I couldn't get out to my taxi because the door halfway down the corridor was locked, and our room keys wouldn't open it. My friend on the same floor tried her key too, with no luck. Nobody picked up at reception. Eventually the taxi driver came inside and found a kitchen worker who had a key. I was crying, and we were told there was another exit at the far end of the corridor. There was no sign or information on the locked door to tell us that. If there had been a fire, I wouldn't have been able to escape. The lack of safety information was frightening. A horrible experience.

The view is pleasant, but there's little to do nearby at night, no supermarkets around, and once the hotel team goes to bed you can't order anything. Inside, the rooms were old and unclean, and towels weren't replaced each day. With no elevator, I had to haul my heavy luggage upstairs and back down at checkout. My room had no internet for three days despite my complaint, until they put a router outside as a temporary fix. In another room, a pipe burst and my colleague had the water turned off while she was showering. Breakfast was the worst part. The coffee machine was always out of order, so filtered coffee was the only option. There wasn't much breakfast choice, and it felt like one person was running the whole show.

The food was absolutely delicious, and we were treated with so much kindness and care from the moment we arrived. Such a wonderful place to stay. We'll definitely come back. Thanks for a great time.

We had a remarkable view from both the rooms and the restaurant. The hotel sits on a hill and is built around a historic castle tower. The family running it were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and good, and the German food was excellent.
