Best Western soibelmanns Lutherstadt Wittenberg

I was very pleased with the stay. The hotel is tucked away at a corner of town, but still within walking distance of the train station. Breakfast had lots to choose from, with something a little different each morning, and I really liked the coffee. I also loved the small daily treats, a gummy or chocolate, after requesting no room service. The room was clean and comfortable. The sauna is listed as “wellness” in the hotel, in case you have trouble finding it.

The twin beds are pushed together to look like a king, but you can pull them apart if you want separate beds in one room. That worked well for my friend and me during our two-night stay, and we had no problems.

Really nice staff, and they even had cute little bags ready for the kids, which was fun. The hotel was very clean, though small, with a good breakfast and lovely outdoor seating. Great location and parking on site too.

The sauna was the best part for me, and there's no extra charge to use it. We had a relaxing stay, and the price seemed pretty reasonable, though it depends on which site you book through. Our room for two was very clean, with a big TV, desk and chair, armchair and side table, double bed, two nightstands, minibar, and wardrobe with a safe. The bathroom was spacious and had a nice shower. The bed wasn't comfortable for me, and I had some back pain the first night. There was also a small cut in the fabric covering the bed frame, though the mattress issue may just have been me. A third-floor room can get warm quickly in summer. Our windows faced east, so the morning sun heated the room, but staff had already put a fan there. The elevator is odd, sinking a little when you step in, and it takes longer than German elevators usually do. The train station is around 10 to 20 minutes away on foot, so it's a good location if you're arriving by train. Reception staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. We arrived three hours before the room was due to be ready, but it was already available. There was also a room where we could have stored our luggage. Breakfast is a buffet, with staff bringing coffee and clearing used plates. The selection was okay but not huge, especially the bread, usually just two kinds of rolls. There was a wide choice of cheese, and the highlight was fresh honey from a real honeycomb. The outdoor area was very nice too.
