Hotel-Pension Am Schwanenteich

The room's Wi-Fi was weak, and you had to get a fresh password at the front desk every day. Since someone was rarely there, that was a bit of a challenge. It was a minor thing for me, though, since I don't travel to sit online. The location is close to the sights without being close enough to make things noisy. Our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good. But both when we arrived and when we checked out, nobody was at the desk. After waiting a long time without seeing anyone, we found someone by calling down through an open cellar door.

The room was clean and quiet, and the staff were really friendly. They even provide a Bible in German, French, and English. I really enjoyed staying here. Highly recommended :)

This is my usual hotel when I'm in Wittenberg. I like the quiet rooms, great location, reasonable prices, and varied, delicious breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful. I do sometimes have trouble with the Wi-Fi reception, though.

The girl at reception was friendly, and I tried speaking English and practicing my German, but this was the worst hotel I've visited this year. Nothing worked properly. Dinner wasn't available the day I arrived because of some private party. Leaving from 7:00 AM was okay, though I needed to get out as soon as possible. At 7:15 I was locked on my floor: the lift wouldn't go down to reception, which meant no reception staff were there. My room was 17, with a window onto the inner courtyard. There was noisy chatting from kitchen staff, or staff somewhere, who were smoking through the night until 4 AM. A black mare night. Free Wi-Fi? That wasn't true. The papers in the room said 1 hour 1E, 6 hours 5 E, and 24 hours 10 E.
