I've stayed here three times now, and each visit has left me pleased. The neighborhood isn't especially grand, though I didn't find it dangerous, and you can hardly stay closer to the train station. The staff are pleasant and efficient, from housekeeping to the maintenance guy. The front desk guy is helpful, and his English is good enough for us to communicate. I've been in a different room every time, with no noise issues. Beds are comfortable, the linens smell fresh rather than strongly of detergent, and the neutral soap they use is nice. The bathrooms have always been in good repair. The price is right, especially when booking directly with the hotel.

The shower in my room was clogged and turned into a little pool after about a minute, though the water pressure and temperature were fine. The rooms could use some maintenance. Aside from that, the bed was comfortable and I slept well. Both the man on the night shift when I checked in and the woman working in the morning were friendly and efficient. The surroundings feel a bit fishy, as expected, but the location is convenient. I think it's good value for the money.

For the fair, the location is handy, but the area can feel unsafe at night. The rooms and service were both pretty average. At €250 a night during Ambiente, the price felt excessive, even for fair season.

The street crowd made a lot of noise late at night, which made it a little hard to sleep. Otherwise, this is a good place for a short visit. My two-bed single room was clean, hygienic, and comfortable, the staff were very helpful, and breakfast was really good.

The welcome at reception was lovely, and the rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was very good too. The location is a little bit RED, but acceptable. It felt like home, or the kind of home you need when you're in a foreign country.
