The castle tour was great. It lasts two hours and covers about a dozen rooms, with a stop at the rooftop lookout. Be ready for stairs.

The views are gorgeous, the castle is well kept, and the staff were really kind. We hadn't realized the interior was closed when we visited, so we accidentally bought tickets. A woman working around the castle kindly gave us a full refund. Even with the inside closed, we enjoyed looking around and would recommend checking the castle out.

We went on the tour, then had an evening meal there. It was a special experience.

We booked the candlelight dinner for our anniversary, and it included a castle tour. The tour was fascinating, and dinner was excellent. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, and the castle had a lovely romantic feel. We'll be back!

Don't miss the puzzle game outside Schloss Berlepsch. We also had a wonderful lunch at the restaurant: the chef's dishes put a twist on traditional food and use regional products. We'd gladly return to eat there. Earlier, we took a tour with the guide, who is one of the count's daughters. She showed us the rooms and shared the castle's history and family story, speaking in both German and English.
