The WiFi didn't work. Breakfast was standard, with plenty of food and filter coffee. The bed was fine, but the pillow was pointless. The recently renovated shower and bathroom were great, though very, very small.

On arrival, reception brought me the coffee I'd been waiting for, and I'm still pleased about that. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service, good breakfast, and rooms. We'll stay at this hotel again next time we're in Witzenhausen.

Parking is a real plus here: it's on site, away from the road and pedestrians. The price was good, and the quiet made for a good night's sleep before breakfast and heading off the next day. It's not modern, but it's clean and in a peaceful area. Sound insulation between rooms isn't great, though I guess the usual guests are quiet. By 8 PM it's as calm as other hotels after midnight. There's no restaurant or bar to keep you up.

The coffee at breakfast was excellent, and there was a good selection at the buffet, though a bit more fruit would have been nice. My room was large and bright, and the bathroom was clean and adequate. WiFi is free, but the reception was poor, as it is throughout Witzenhausen.

Nice rooms, and the people were welcoming.
