The rooms are spacious and tidy, the beds are comfortable though not big, and there’s a really good restaurant nearby. Still, the place doesn’t quite live up to its contemporary, elegant image. The rooms look clean but aren’t really; there’s no AC or mosquito net, and the dark room stays dim even with all the lights on. The furniture looks designed, but it’s IKEA, and the renovated-looking building has cracks. The staff are polite, but always seem serious and too busy. Breakfast is basic. The location is near everything in the city, though you’ll still need a car. And if you rent a room with a balcony and or parking space, you’re not guaranteed one, as the fine print explains. Modern? Not really.

My experience at this “hotel” was a nightmare, and I don’t know what hygiene standards people have who leave good reviews. I arrived at an apartment that was completely dirty, including a big tuft of hair on the kitchen table. The rooms and common areas were dirty and damaged, the walls and windows were dirty too, and the bed linens, towels, and furniture were poor quality. The pictures on the website are fake; the real apartments are creepy. The girl at reception tried to help, but she was completely alone, checking people in, fixing things in the breakfast area, and helping customers in their rooms all at once. She came to my apartment to make a third bed and took linens from another room. They don’t have a real housekeeping service. We’re still in the middle of a pandemic, and I was traveling with a child. Shocked by the hygiene, I found another hotel in the area and didn’t sleep at the Yard Boarding Hotel. Instead of apologizing for the state of the place, they took 205 euros from my Bank Account. A complete rip-off! Now I understand why the apartment reservation can’t be canceled and the rate isn’t refundable. Stay away!

The staff were very friendly and supportive, and the premises are well thought out. Modern, elegant, and cozy, too. Fantastic hotel, and I’ll definitely return!

We’ve stayed here twice now, and the rooms are unique. It’s the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at, in a beautiful setting just 15min from A2 Motorway. We’ll definitely be back.
