The guesthouse owners were very friendly and found me a room on a Sunday afternoon, even though I hadn't booked ahead. It was a nice, colorful ground floor room, though the bedding and pillow took some getting used to. I took off a point for the service: no breakfast was offered, and I had to leave the room at 8 a.m.

We found a room here on the spot, just 10 minutes after running into trouble with another place. The hosts were super friendly. It's a small guesthouse in the old town, with simple furnishings, but everything was really clean and well looked after.

The owner was friendly and easy to talk to, and the house and room were in good shape with tasteful furnishings. There's a drinks fridge on the first floor with fair prices. The locked-at-night parking lot is right across the street, but I was charged €3 for one night, a fee I couldn't find on the website. My main issue was breakfast. I booked a single room for one night because I was attending a funeral, and the website said breakfast was included in the room price. The landlady wouldn't serve it, saying breakfast was seasonal and wasn't included in the €50 price. She also pointed out she'd given me a double room, though I'd booked a single and hadn't asked for an upgrade. She said they don't usually take one-night guests and had made an exception because we'd "begged" for a room. We'd only asked whether a single room was available. There was no minimum-stay rule on the website. Having to find a bakery for breakfast after booking a guesthouse room with breakfast advertised is unacceptable, and this is no way to treat guests.

The owners gave us a really warm welcome, and breakfast was more than enough. We stayed in comfortable, practical rooms at this cozy little guesthouse on a quiet side street. The town center and the harbor restaurants are each only a 3-4 minute walk away, making it a handy base for an active Baltic Sea holiday. Usedom is practically next door, and Ueckermünde, Anklam, Greifswald, and other nearby towns are easy to reach. The photos show the area right around the guesthouse.
