We were pleased with the owners' kindness again on our second visit, and everything was organized perfectly. We had the same clean, tidy room as last time, and the covered balcony is a real plus when the weather turns bad. The grounds are wonderful, especially the garden and dog run, and the quiet location suited us. Nearby towns have plenty to do. But we'd decided not to come back for another holiday because the room made us feel the owners don't care much about their guests' comfort. In autumn weather, its problems were hard to overlook. In summer you're usually out all day, or relaxing on the balcony at the end of it, so the room mostly serves as a place to sleep. It feels cramped and oppressive, dated, and put together without much care. It may be the cheapest option, but it seemed more like this room had been downgraded than the pricier rooms upgraded. The same tiny, very outdated cheap TV we complained about last time is still there, and it's definitely not a quality smart TV. High speed internet is available now, but streaming services are blocked, so it only lets you watch regular TV channels. I don't need internet just to browse on my phone. The kitchenette has only the basics, and although the room is meant for up to three people, most things are supplied for two. There's a two burner stove, a fridge, and an old Russell Hobbs coffee maker, but no toaster, oven, microwave, or even a bathroom hairdryer. The toilet flush is awful too. We had to use a bucket of water every time. Having a microwave downstairs is completely impractical, especially since they cost so little and should be standard in every room. It's disappointing that you have to ask for extra appliances. The garden is nice, though the advertised table tennis, basketball hoop, and volleyball court all seemed pretty outdated. We skipped breakfast this time because on our last stay the €12.00 per person got us cheap pre baked rolls and a limited selection compared with other places. The peaceful location also means you'll need a car unless you want to spend ages on public transport. In good summer weather, the room's limitations matter less, but we wouldn't want to stay here outside the summer months again.

This is a small guesthouse that really welcomes dogs. My single room was tiny but fine for one night, and everything was clean, though the towels looked a bit old. The little cooking area in the hallway was useful, and the basic breakfast was enough. The women working in service and one man were all very friendly. With the window open, you can hear cars from the street. In the off season, the price felt fair for what you get.
