We had a lovely evening. The meal was hearty and really tasty, with the rump steak cooked medium as requested, a delicious schnitzel, crispy fries, and a nicely varied side salad. Service was friendly and attentive. It wasn't busy, so that probably made things easier, and there were even toothpicks on the table. We'd expected a dingy old village pub, especially after seeing the mixed reviews, but the place was bright, friendly, and quite modern. We were only there to eat, so I can't comment on the hotel. Nothing to complain about, a five-star experience.

The food was rather substandard, as some other reviews have mentioned. Also, the online menu prices aren't accurate. And despite being listed in the current Schlemmerblock, they don't take part. Definitely not recommended.

The food was delicious, and the owner and staff were friendly. We were there with a group of motorcycle riders and managed to get a room at short notice. We'll definitely come back.

Breakfast had a huge selection, and the hotel was lovely and very clean. The hosts were incredibly friendly. Many thanks to the owner for the service to Gau-Bickelheim. I'll be back next year, and I highly recommend it.
