The view of the Main and the old castle is beautiful, and the atmosphere is fantastic. We enjoy coming here every time, and the food has always been fabulous and delicious. The service is excellent, with very friendly waiters and waitresses. Konstantin hosted us this time and was especially polite, gentle and kind. We enjoyed our time there and are grateful to the restaurant manager for hiring such great people. We give this lovely restaurant 10 out of 10. Thanks and cheers 🥂

The vegetarian choices have improved since I visited three years ago. We went again a couple of weeks ago, and our vegetarian friend could have a proper meal instead of being limited to fries and salad, as can happen in traditional German restaurants. He enjoyed it. The portions are very big, and I like the dishes. It’s a traditional Bavarian restaurant and beer garden with a nice atmosphere and superb location. Our food took a good 30 minutes to arrive on a very busy Friday evening. I’d book ahead for indoor seating, especially on Friday nights and weekends.

The place itself is nice, and the service was good, but the food was just okay, not delicious. As I was leaving the building, I saw a medium-sized cockroach crawling down one of the windows.

The Kaiserschmarin dessert is simply the best 🇩🇪💕. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great and the price reasonable. Our waitress was very friendly, spoke English she’d learned in Nottingham just down the road from Lincoln, and nothing was too much trouble. What a tremendous find, happy to recommend 👍🏻
