Motel One Würzburg

The coffee at breakfast is terrible, though the bar makes much better coffee. Apart from that, the location is great, and the rooms are basic but clean, with great beds. The staff throughout the hotel were fantastic. Well recommended!

The cocktail bar looked good, felt like a pleasant place for a drink, and was run professionally by good people. We stayed one night on July 20, in Room 200. The room was super pleasant, the staff were nice, and the location couldn't be better. I've stayed in plenty of more special places, but Motel One was unexpectedly good at being what it is. The beds were great too. The price-quality ratio is unbeatable, so big kudos to the team running the place!

Parking was the one real hassle, since the hotel has no parking of its own and finding a spot can be difficult, though not impossible. Checkout was easy, just leave the key card in the bowl at reception. We got a great view of the dome by chance, but some rooms look inward toward a small parking lot or the other side of the building. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance, as are the Würzburg residence and Romantisch area. The accommodation was good, and I slept ten times better here than at the two Numa hotels we stayed in before. Edit: The AC didn't work, and since my partner and I both run hot, we got uncomfortably warm overnight. Luckily, a breeze through the window helped.

We come from the USA and spend a short vacation in Würzburg every year. Last year we were very satisfied with Motel One, but this year was absolutely different. The room costs the same as last year but is much smaller, lacks charm, and isn't comfortable. It faces the courtyard, where hotel staff talk loudly every night until midnight, making it nearly impossible to sleep. Time to change hotels.
