Premier Inn Würzburg

The room had a lovely view, and getting into the city was easy with tram 5 taking about 10 minutes. The Hauptbahnhof was around a 15-minute slow walk away, with a Lidl across the street and a Shell station nearby where coffee was available. Breakfast was nice at about 18€ per person per day when booked at the hotel, since we hadn’t included it with our room at first. Service was friendly at breakfast and decent at reception. We were a couple staying for three nights just before New Year’s Eve, and the stay itself went smoothly. The main drawback for us was that there were no windows we could open, so we couldn’t properly air out the room. The hotel seemed nearly full, so they would probably turn down a late checkout, which was understandable.

I really missed having a few more toiletries, like cotton swabs, but it was still a nice stay. The bed was very comfortable, the room felt lovely, and tea and coffee were free.

The restaurant had a menu, but none of the listed dishes were available because they didn’t have anyone to cook. The heating wasn’t working, and nobody told us at check-in. When I said the room was too cold, they brought a portable heater. The shower faucet was broken and the toilet seat was loose, so after I complained about the toilet they moved us to another room. That room had a broken shower faucet too. I didn’t have the energy to ask to move again. An absolute disaster.

It feels quite different from a standard Premier Inn, with a beautiful, unusual design and glass windows running through the building, so every room has a great view. Renovations are still underway, though we barely heard them. The hotel officially reopened on 18.7.25, so it’s very new.
