The room design was quite nice, but the stay was nowhere near worth more than €100 a night. Other guests partied and smoked in the common rooms until 3 in the morning, and the staff didn’t do anything about it. When we asked them to call it a night, our requests weren’t really followed. I also got bitten by something that was probably a bedbug. One shower is so cramped that anyone over 1.50m would find it basically unusable. On top of that, the entrance looks like the garbage and storage area of a pizza place. I’d expect this at a hostel charging €10 a night, not here.

The rooms are great and right in the center of Würzburg. There’s a parking garage just a stone’s throw away, at €17 per day.

The apartment is laid out well and furnished with great taste and attention to detail. Though it’s shared with other travelers, the narrow, winding layout makes it feel as if you have the place to yourself. It’s only a few minutes on foot from the Main River and Würzburg’s attractions, with everything easy to reach by walking. Restaurants are right nearby, from burgers to Italian and Asian food, and they were all delicious. Great location and value for money. We’ll definitely come back.

The street noise kept us awake, which was the worst part, though I can’t blame the owner for that. The apartments are reached by a very long, difficult staircase that goes past a restaurant’s dirty storage rooms. At the top, the rooms look stylish but aren’t well maintained. There was dust and bugs everywhere, our carpet was torn, and the windows were filthy. I wouldn’t stay here again.
