Mercure Hotel Wuerzburg Am Mainufer

We got there around midnight, and check-in was smooth and hassle-free while the children were sleeping. The hotel made for a really pleasant stay. The rooms were spotless, nicely designed, and comfortable, and the staff were courteous and attentive.

The rooms are clean and spacious, and the underground parking feels safe. It's in a good spot too, with nice things to see within a walk of no more than 5 minutes.

I accidentally booked 9 days for 27 december - 5 january, three months after the dates I actually needed, which were 27 september - 5 october. The booking had no cancellation policy. As soon as I spotted the mistake, I contacted reception. The lady I spoke with seemed kind and understanding, but her manager wasn't. I made the error, but a little understanding and clemency would have gone a long way. Taking someone's money because of a mistake feels cheap, especially in times like these. I wonder how people with such low moral standards end up in management. My advice: never book a hotel that doesn't offer cancellations, especially Mercure Hotel Wuerzburg.

The staff were helpful and courteous during my short stay. My room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping did a good job. Breakfast was a standard hotel buffet. Parking is available, and the centre of town is an easy walk away.
