Hotel Restaurant Zur Post

Two of us stayed overnight in the hotel rooms after meeting there for a birthday party. The rooms were clean, well equipped, and very well maintained, with comfortable beds and good mattresses. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful, with something for everyone. The food at the party was very good, and the service was excellent too.

I use a walker and only just managed the stairs with help. There are about 18 high steps, quite steep and turning around two corners. It made getting in extremely difficult, and there’s no chance for a wheelchair user. I knew the building wasn’t wheelchair accessible, but I hadn’t pictured it being this hard. For me, that means I won’t come back. If you don’t have mobility issues, though, it’s certainly somewhere you can stay overnight. The Croatian restaurant in the hotel is very good, with delicious food, attentive service, and good value. Breakfast was good too, a little higher standard, with very good rolls. The hotel and rooms are showing their age, but the mattresses were very good.

The restaurant was excellent, and we had delicious meals there every evening. Parking right in front of the hotel was very convenient. The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were functional and very clean.

We had dinner there on New Year’s Eve and loved it. The menu was great, the food delicious, and the service excellent. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.
