I was surprised by how good the rooms were for the price, and the staff were very friendly. We usually prefer eating locally rather than at hotels, so we hadn’t asked or paid for breakfast. I think it was the owner, though we didn’t ask, who invited us to have some cold meats and cheeses and served us coffee. Those little unexpected touches can turn a good stay into a great one. It far exceeded our expectations, and if we drive through this part of the world again, we’ll be sure to stop by.

The room was newly furnished and had a good bed and a nice shower. It wasn't large, but it worked perfectly for a night or two. Breakfast the next morning included fresh bread and toast, an omelette made to order, coffee, tea, yogurt, and the usual extras. The whole bill came to €145, including dinner, drinks, an extra bottle of wine, cappuccino, breakfast, and the room. We were driving from Croatia back to Holland with a boat behind the car, and the owner found us a place to park safely. Later, after restaurant guests left, we could move the car in front of the hotel. Dinner was a Pfeffersteak with salad and a good Hefe Weisz from the keg. The place was busy but still had a nice atmosphere, with friendly staff and good service. We asked for dry white wine and were recommended a Croatian family wine that was really good. We got a warm, relaxed welcome and would come back.

There’s plenty of parking, the rooms are nice, and the food was really great. The staff were friendly too. Hard to ask for much more.

The rooms are basic, but very clean and have all the furniture you need. This family-run hotel and restaurant was also very welcoming, which is why I’m giving it four stars.
