Hotel Hido

Friendly service, a lovely restaurant cat, and a delicious Köfte Hido with a complimentary bowl of salad. The Turkish food was good, and it was a pleasant meal overall. For the price, I expected everything to be homemade. The bread was a cold tortilla from a packet, and the chips were frozen. We also didn’t notice the excellent selection of well-priced Turkish wines until after we’d ordered expensive beers.

Four friends and I stopped for lunch while on a motorcycle tour from the UK. The location beside the lake was great, with parking nearby. Service was quick, the food was fresh and lovely, and the portions were large. We were very pleased.

I often stop around this area to eat and rest while driving across Europe from the UK. A quick online search led me to this elegant, classy place. The food was among the best I’ve had for taste, and it looked fantastic too. The wine met my standards and was very nice. I’d recommend it to anyone after a wonderful night out.

Our bicycle broke down, and the Turkish owners welcomed us with open hearts and doors. They even offered to lend us their Van to get the stranded cyclist to the next shop or home. We managed to order a replacement part for overnight delivery instead, and while we waited, we had a loft for three to stay in, plus excellent Turkish Mokka, Lamacun, Sausage, and Falafel Dürüm. The accommodation was very clean, with a balcony looking out over the lake and shore, and we enjoyed good conversations with the owners. They explained that planned remodeling and the Pandemic had delayed repairs nearby, and asked for understanding that not everything was at the highest level.
